Dr. Marira received his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 1984, followed by pediatric residency training at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and Cooper University Hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his master's degree in Public Health (M.P.H.) at Loma Linda in California in 1981 and earned his master's degree in Biology in 1979 from Andrew's University in Michigan.
He is a member of the South Atlantic Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics Georgia Chapter Affiliate and is a Senior Analyst and Diplomat of the American Board of Disability Analysts (ABDA).
Dr. Marira is married to Patricia, a registered nurse and ordained minister. He enjoys traveling, reading, family time and photography-videography. The joy of his professional is keeping kids healthy.
